Over the years, I have learned a lot about this sport and how much joy and freedom it gives to all who participate in it. During the summer in Whistler ' Canada, they open trails for the cyclists to practice this sport, and it's amazing to sit and enjoy how the sky gondolas carry bicycles instead of skis or snowboards. What amazes me the most is all the little kids participate fearlessly and enjoy exploring and participating in such an extreme activity. All the cyclists come down with such joy and gloriously talking about their adventure, how they dominate the sport, and how they do more and better tricks.   One of the things that always called my attention as an Art History student was Asian designs. I love how they use black backgrounds to create an elegant and organized image that gives you a sense of peace and control. They usually put isolated elements or icons on the background, making it look clean and visually harmonic to the eye. The use of golden colors or gold leave gives the design a delicate look. Traveling around the world is one of the things I enjoy the most. Taking the time to learn, understand and admire this world is the best gift that you can give to yourself. The world has so much to offer and give and is the best school or university you could ever go to. Road trips have taught me tolerance, respect and opened my mind most significantly. They tell you that the grass is greener on the other side, but the truth is that the grass is unique and beautiful everywhere you go if you could adapt and learn. One of the things that amaze me the most is the colors of nature! Every time I travel around and take pictures, I can't stop thinking about the miracle of nature.   During my life, I have worked in many foundations helping people with different needs. I have often found that living in peace of mind can help heal the heart and soul. Taking the time to express themselves as they walk around gardens with beautiful flowers helps them ease the pain and see things from different perspectives. We all have gone into many different life cycles in life, similar to what happens in nature with plants and animals. I have lost my parents, many friends, and family members during my life, which has caused great pain and sometimes a lack of understanding of why they left. I bought many books and talked to many spiritual guides, and they have made me see life differently. When you stop your inner voice and observe what happens around us, you can understand nature and life cycles as they are. If we visit a park every day and come back to the same plant, we can see how it evolves and grows or dies, which is exactly what happens with us. We develop every day, give our best, and we have to let new things come and evolve like us once we did our part. Accepting who we loved did and letting them go when their time comes for them to leave is the best act of kindness and love we could have. I love to investigate and read, so I bought a book about metaphysics and the power of the purple flame. It came to my attention how powerful your thoughts could be and the healing powers of color. I read and learned that the violet color could transform negativity into positivity, give peace of mind, and heal your soul. A simple meditation of letting violet light come in your body from your head down to your toes and covering your body in a violet flame can heal your soul and give you peace of mind. During one of my multiple visits to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, I enjoyed taking walks around Rose Garden. As my son was studying there a demanding career, I saw him suffer so much, which gave me anguish and stressful feeling. No one likes to see a loved one suffer, and worst to see them stress out. Walking around the campus, trying to find some peace of mind to reflect on how to help him out, I found this amazing place called UBC Rose Garden. I started to walk around this gem, which has a perfect view of the ocean, and immediately I got a sense of peace in my heart. The aroma of those beautiful roses, which in their majority were pink, made me feel like I was walking around the finest aromatherapy spa on planet earth.  When I paint in my art studio, I love to get some inspiration from many artists worldwide, and this design was an inspiration from the patterns that Klimt used in The Kiss. His artwork moves my soul, and how he uses color and pattern inspire me to create my designs and artwork. At all, this work has something of Seurat, and his pointillism and how many colors together make magic in a piece of artwork. Art, for me, is a way of writing without words and expressing feelings and emotions. When you combine the perfect color with the perfect lines, you can create magic.   When I think of moorlands, I always think about how something can even grow up so high. There is a lack of oxygen because of the high altitude, and its land is very rocky. The thing is that I am very wrong about my perception and how I see something! When I go on hikes to this amazing place on planet earth, I see the most exquisite variation of flowers, plants, leaves with the most amazing colors that you could ever imagine seeing in such type of terrain. This moves me to think how in such an arid landscape, the miracle of life happens. Making a connection with our own lives is similar to what happens to us when we are in pain, when we don't see the light, when we lost all hope and think nothing good can come out of us, we forget to see that in those arid times of life the most beautiful and strong learning happens inside of us.   The other day, I watched a documentary about the Ganges and all the symbolism of cremating and scattering your loved ones' ashes to the river. It made me think about how diverse we are in the way we look at death and the ceremonies we do for our loved ones. I never realized how much symbolism it had and the importance of flowers and letting the water cleanse and take the body to a better place. Looking at it more romantically, it was like letting your loved ones go in peace and having the time to let them go and see them go away. It gives you time to reflect, thank and honor the life of the one going to a better place.   Every single day I wake up to the sounds of birds flying around my garden. This gives me so much peace of mind and helps me wake up with joy and start a fresh new day. There is nothing more relaxing than walking in your garden, park, or sidewalk, admiring all those beautiful plants, trees, flowers, and listening to the melody of birds flying around you or up in the sky.   Nowadays, since all of the pandemic and quarantine started some days, it's hard to see the beauty surrounding us. We are all going through hard times, and trying to see things clearly may seem hard and impossible due to all negativity surrounding this specific event. Covid came to show us many things, and as hard as it may look, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. This Rose design represents us looking at them from a window grill, where we can't see them clearly at all, but they are there, and their beauty is there. This simple design has an important and special meaning for the History of Art.   During this trip, I went hiking to this same place for a few days, and this little pond that was starting to be formed called my attention. As the days go by, three holes started to form in the snow in a triangular way, as the snow was melting. On the fourth day, I saw that a bear's face was there and that someone placed two rocks on one of the holes to make it look more like a polar bear. I stand there for at least 15 minutes thinking how wonderful this amazing world is! That image was there to help people see that we keep destroying our mother nature and beautiful animals in danger to be extinguished. Just two days before, I saw a documentary of how global warming and humans are making these adorable bears be on a journey that we might not have the joy t see again in some more years if we don't take action.   When I travel, I love to understand the culture and the cities that I visit. A simple door, window, a wall can tell so much of history and events in a certain place. I compare this to the wrinkles in the face of people who have lived enough to know and tell stories. Each rock, its design, the city where you can find it is like talking to the world and its most precious secrets, where happy, painful, and unusual events have occurred, but those structures are still standing for the world to see and understand the gift of life and time.   When I painted this design background, I was inspired by the Amazon River by its majestic size and biodiversity. I love to see rivers and how those  big water bodies move and sail long extensions of land. It makes me think and meditate about letting go, healing, turning the page, and keep going.
