Art and Design with Meaning

During the summer, my Son and Husband love to share some time and discover new and challenging activities with their bicycles! Even though they don't live in the same country, they have a passion for their bicycles! Two summers ago, before the pandemic, we were traveling around Canada and especially around British Columbia. I learned many things about bicycles and how many people enjoy the magic of freerides and the adrenalin flowing on their bodies and their body's adventure doing this type of activity. It made me look up in the sky and observe birds enjoying birds fly in peace and freedom as they enjoy discovering new things.   During this trip, I went hiking to this same place for a few days, and this little pond that was starting to be formed called my attention. As the days go by, three holes started to form in the snow in a triangular way, as the snow was melting. On the fourth day, I saw that a bear's face was there and that someone placed two rocks on one of the holes to make it look more like a polar bear. I stand there for at least 15 minutes thinking how wonderful this amazing world is! That image was there to help people see that we keep destroying our mother nature and beautiful animals in danger to be extinguished. Just two days before, I saw a documentary of how global warming and humans are making these adorable bears be on a journey that we might not have the joy t see again in some more years if we don't take action.   When I travel, I love to understand the culture and the cities that I visit. A simple door, window, a wall can tell so much of history and events in a certain place. I compare this to the wrinkles in the face of people who have lived enough to know and tell stories. Each rock, its design, the city where you can find it is like talking to the world and its most precious secrets, where happy, painful, and unusual events have occurred, but those structures are still standing for the world to see and understand the gift of life and time.
