There is a special technique that helps me meditate, which takes me mentally to Tibet. Originally silk painting is mostly related to China as a long traditional form of art. Tibet has some strong roots in this technique also. As I paint, I feel connected to the Buddhist monks in Tibet and how they use art to meditate and connect to their inner selves. One of my all-time favorite artists is Monet because of his use of color and his special admiration for mother nature. I wanted to make my own creation of his famous work of art, waterlilies. How Monet mixes colors and creates texture makes me always analyze how he combines colors to create volume and visual illusions in his art.
