Mostly it represents, for me, a free soul and love for freedom! It also represents the presence of a loved one who is already in heaven. Butterflies go through a process of transformation or scientifically know as metamorphosis, which for me means the liberation of our soul from our body. It's like looking at clouds and imagining shapes. Many of my abstract art is inspired by observational drawings from nature.
